Nailed It!

I’ve been a Mom for all of 18 months and its such little time to understand if I am on the correct path with my Parenting style.

.

I already find myself shuddering when I see the start of a tantrum and question myself whether I give in too easily to her demands. At the same time, my heart fills with pride when she picks up a book to read on her own or when she listens to mama’s instructions in a beat.

.

I was racking my brains one day about how will I ever know if I’m getting it right or if I’m failing miserably at this Parenting Shit. Now we all know Parenting is no easy feat so I came up with this brilliant list below. Please feel free to consider it as a benchmark to rate your own performance as a Parent.

.
You know you’ve Nailed It when you see these 7 signs: .

.
❇️ You can eat with one hand while holding your baby on your hip. More points if you have a crying toddler who is clinging to your leg.
.
❇️You can get out of the house with your Baby in less than an hour, with everything you might need to survive not only the trip but also any potential mishaps along the way like extra clothes, diapers, tissues and snacks and drinks for when hunger suddenly strikes. .
.
❇️You’re not easily grossed out. Nothing, not a dirty nappy, a dirty nappy that was used to paint the wall, vomit in your bed or snot on your clothes can get you to blink twice. You simply clean it up and move on. .
.
❇️ Everyday is Laundry Day. .
.
❇️You carry everything from wet wipes and sippy cups to crayons, lollipops and a change of underwear in your handbag. .
.
❇️You can open and close your baby’s pram with one hand while holding the baby in the other hand. .
.

❇️You consider having another baby now that your bub is a little older, after you’ve cried from exhaustion and sworn that you’ll never have a baby again.
